Upromise is a free service that helps families earn extra money for education. The company was launched in April 2001, to help make a college education more attainable. It’s a free service that helps members jumpstart their college savings or pay down student loans by earning 1-25% back on qualified everyday spending shopping online or in-store, eating out, buying groceries, travel and more.

Upromise partners with hundreds of America’s leading brands who share our mission. Partners provide Upromise members with rewards for using their products and services. Members can earn 1-25% in college savings simply by shopping online with over 600 retail partners, buying participating grocery and drugstore items and going out to eat at 8,000 national and local restaurants. Planning a vacation and even buying or selling or refinancing a house are also great ways to earn Upromise rewards.

Do members have to use the money for college?
Upromise was created to help families save for college and we strongly encourage members to use the money they’ve earned towards education expenses. However, members may choose to withdraw the money they’ve saved for other purposes if they wish.
Do members need to register their credit cards to get savings?
No, it is not necessary to provide your credit card information - there are savings opportunities you can take advantage such as shopping the Upromise On-line Mall that don't require that information. However, registering current credit and debit cards are the tracking methods for making sure members earn college savings from off-line partners.
