WHY:
There are several reasons this is a newsworthy event:
1. Because something like this has never happened before. Anywhere!
2. It features thousands of kids, outdoors, being active, to raise
money for college.
3. Studies show that kids who have money put aside for college,
regardless of the amount or their family’s financial situation, are
more likely to pursue and go to college.
4. At a time when Washington D.C. is grappling with long-term
solutions to help families save and finance a college education, the
kids of Indianapolis are taking matters into their own hands.
