David Rochon, President
As president of Upromise, David's goal is to help people realize their dream of higher education. He joined the company in 2000 to offer families a new way to save for college. At the age of 18, David was accepted to Boston College, but financing was a real challenge so he went to work in the supermarket industry. At 24, with the help of a mentor, financial aid and scholarships, he attended Cornell University where he earned a BS in food industry management.
With more than 25 years of diverse industry experience, David’s background bridges the Internet, in-store marketing services, retail and manufacturing arenas. Previously, he had co-founded and was president & CEO of SuperMarkets Online, Inc. (a subsidiary of Catalina Marketing Corporation) the industry's leading Business to Consumer e-commerce savings platform leveraged by over 12,000 supermarkets and 80+ blue chip consumer packaged goods clients. Prior to Catalina Marketing Corporation, he was senior vice president of sales at Catalina Information Resources, Inc.
He lives in Newton, MA with his wife and three future college students.

John Ward, Chief Marketing Officer
As chief marketing officer for Upromise, John Ward leads the company’s drive to dramatically improve American families’ college preparedness. In his previous role as CMO and executive vice president at IDT Corporation, John was instrumental in more than doubling the company’s annual revenue, largely by evolving the company’s brand and creating products for the Hispanic market. John’s experience includes financial services at First Union National Bank where he was senior vice president and built a consumer sales and marketing capability for online banking; and AT&T where he drove customer acquisition. He has a degree in engineering from the University of Nebraska and holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is currently saving for college for his two future college students.

Rick Duquette, Chief Information Officer

Rick Duquette leads all Information Technology and Operations efforts across Upromise’s business. He joined the company in 2002 and has been an integral part of its information technology over the past 7 years. Rick has more than 20 years experience in IT and Engineering areas and was previously the director of Quality Assurance at NewsEdge Corporation. He earned a B.A. in Computers and Information Management from Central New England College and lives in Milford, MA with his wife and four future college students.

Michael Libenson, Senior Vice President, General Manager Grocery Services
Michael Libenson leads Upromise's Grocery Services business and the new eCoupons paperless coupon offering for grocery shoppers. As one of the earliest employees, Michael has previously led the Partner Services organization and drove new member acquisition. Prior to Upromise, Michael was a strategy consultant with Monitor Company in Cambridge, MA where he led client teams in a range of industries, including beverages, steel, financial services, semiconductors, telecommunications, and office products. Michael holds a BA in Political Science from Boston University, a M.Sc. in Economics from London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Belmont, MA with his wife and two future college students.

Diane Musi, Senior Vice President and General Counsel
 As senior vice president and general counsel, Diane is responsible for all legal matters relating to Upromise's business. Her responsibilities include negotiation of business critical agreements, managing in-house and outside providers of legal services, ensuring legal compliance and providing comprehensive legal analysis, strategy and advice to the executive team. Diane joined Upromise in 2000 as the company's fifth employee. Prior to joining Upromise, she was a corporate associate at Goodwin Procter for over four years, specializing in public and private company mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, public and private securities offerings, securities law compliance matters and general corporate law matters. A member of the Massachusetts Bar, Diane received her B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College in 1990 and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1995. She resides in Belmont with her spouse and is saving for her daughter and son.

David Coppins, Senior Vice President, Upromise On-Line Mall and Partner Management
David Coppins joined Upromise in 1999 and was the company’s third employee, when it was just a concept to help make college more affordable through a college savings reward program. Today he is responsible for overseeing all Upromise participating companies including major national retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Eddie Bauer and more than 650 online retailers. In this role he works with America’s leading brands to help Upromise members save money for college each time they shop. Prior to joining Upromise, he worked for Monitor Company where he was a consultant for financial services and private equity companies and was a founding principal of Monitor Clipper Partners, a private equity fund.
David earned his B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University. He lives in Alpine, Utah and currently has two children in college and is saving for his two future college students.

Rich O'Neal, Senior Vice President of Operations & Corporate Security Officer
Rich joined Upromise in 2000, and today drives the company's operations and corporate security programs. Prior to joining Upromise, he worked at Exodus Professional Services as the director of the Infrastructure Group where he was responsible for day-to-day technical operations, infrastructure and online customer service initiatives. Rich holds a BA from Ohio State University and lives in Newton, MA with his spouse and future college student.

Kathy Borowy, Vice President of Finance
 As vice president of finance, Kathy Borowy is responsible for the company's financial planning and analysis. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial management, most recently as the chief financial officer at JPMorgan Invest, an online discount brokerage subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase where she drove financial planning and analysis, accounting and risk management. A CPA, Kathy holds a B.S. from Oakland University and an MBA in finance from Bentley College. Kathy resides in West Roxbury, MA and is saving for her nieces and nephews.
